Through sustainability challenges, students commit to SDG-inspired changes and track progress, from reducing food waste to volunteering. The platform fosters community, showcases individual impact, and offers a space for discussions and networking on sustainability topics.

Challenge

The interdisciplinary project, a multidisciplinary team consisting of students from the departments of Computer Science, Environmental Economics and Law, and Design are developing an SDG engagement platform with gamification elements. Through these elements, implemented in the form of sustainability challenges, students are encouraged to commit to an SDG-inspired change in their lives and document their progress.

Strategy

Gathering information, analysing it, and structuring the web flow and other engagement platforms. By adding gamification elements to enhance engagement through a web browser app focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the application gets more attractive for a broader spectrum. Users can start challenges, track progress, and connect with others. This fosters community and encourages members to take meaningful action towards sustainability.

Solution

Empowering users to actively contribute to the SDGs and engage with a vibrant community of like-minded individuals, driving collective action towards a more sustainable future. The web browser-based app is offering easy access to users without the need for a native app download. This hybrid approach ensures that the platform is more accessible to a wider audience, facilitating greater engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals.
